Our History
A Foundation of Faith
In 2004, Merriweather Global Ministries was established by The Late Rev. Dr. J. E. Merriweather Sr. and Rev. Dr. Tonya Merriweather Gipson Miller with a clear mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ while equipping leaders and serving communities around the world.
That same year, the ministry established Merriweather Bible Institute, a teaching and training arm dedicated to providing biblical education, pastoral development, and leadership training for ministers, missionaries, and church leaders.
Following the passing of The Late Rev. Dr. J. E. Merriweather Sr., the ministry continued with the devoted support of The Late Lady Betty Rose Atmore Merriweather, who faithfully helped direct and strengthen the development of ministry programs, pastoral training initiatives, and global outreach efforts.
Today the ministry continues under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Tonya Merriweather Gipson Miller, expanding its reach across nations through evangelism, education, and humanitarian service.

Through preaching, teaching, service, and compassion, Merriweather Global Ministries seeks to spread the message of salvation, strengthen churches, equip leaders, and meet the practical needs of communities across nations.
